Lady Tigers sixth to start NCCAA Tourney

PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. -- Campbellsville University sits in sixth-place after the first round of the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Women's Golf Invitational at the Hombre Golf Club.



Katie White shot 82 to lead the Lady Tigers and sit tied for ninth-place in the 41-player tournament. Meleigha Pollock shot 86 and also finished in the Top 20 after the first round. Lindsey Jones-Harris and Kayla Kincer shot 92 and 93, respectively. Caitlyn Wilkerson, usually a Top 3 player for CU, withdrew from competition Monday due to injury.

Dallas Baptist and California Baptist are tied after the first round after shooting 325. Bethel (Ind.) is four strokes behind at 329. North Greenville University is fourth after shooting 340 and Colorado Christian shot 351. Campbellsville (353), Trevecca Nazarene (364) and Malone University (380) round out the eight-team field.

Play will resume Tuesday with the second round of the tournament beginning at 7:35 a.m. ET.
