PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. -- Trey Shirley was dubbed a two-time All-American on Wednesday after finishing three strokes out of first at the 2011 National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Men's Golf National Championships at the Hombre Golf Club. Shirley shot a 71 for the lowest score in the final round and posted a three-day score of 216 to finish third-place, though the Tigers remained in 12th as a team.



Shirley, earned his first All-America finish in 2010 with a fifth-place finish.

As a team, the Tigers had their best round Wednesday, shooting 309, but finished with a three-day total of 939. California Baptist (887) and Dallas Baptist (901) finished first and second as they placed all week. Southeastern University (903), North Greenville (906) and Trevecca Nazarene (911) roundout the Top 5.

Following Shirley's lead, was Brandon Collier (75-78-75 - 228), Scott Foster (75-83-78 - 236), Myles Ashley (92-82-88 - 262) and Jacob Sims (93-86-85 - 264).

Justin Burns of Central Baptist won medalist honors with a three-under par total of 213. CBU teammate Tim Tait finished one-under par as runner-up with a 215.

The tournament concludes Campbellsville's competiton for the fall. The Tigers are scheduled to resume play March 5-6 in the Rome News Tribune Invitational at Stonebridge Country Club in Rome, Ga.
