Jessica Ralph reclaimed the team's scoring lead with a pair of goals Tuesday in a 3-1 Campbellsville University women's soccer victory at the University of the Cumberlands.
The win moves the Lady Tigers to 2-1 in the MSC and a tie for third place with four conference games remaining.
Ralph put the Lady Tigers on the board in the 21st minute off an assist from Megan Campbell. The goal was her seventh of the season, tying Campbell for the team lead. Fellow sophomore Bailey McDonough made it a 2-0 game with 6:45 left to play in the first half. In the 73rd minute, Angelia Jones collected her first collegiate assist on Ralph's second goal of the game and eighth of the season.
The Lady Tigers posted 81 shutout minutes until Morgan Reed put Cumberlands on the board without an assist. The goal ended a six-game stretch of shutouts either for or against the Lady Tigers.
Both teams had 11 shots in the game, with Campbellsville leading the way with seven shots on goal. Brandie Hagerman had three saves for Campbellsville, while Brittney Gadd had four stops for the Patriots.
Campbellsville (7-4, 2-1 MSC) will return home Friday, Oct. 7 to host West Virginia Tech in a non-conference game at 4 p.m. ET.
