WILBERFORCE, Ohio - Cell service in Ohio was spotty on Saturday, but that didn't keep the Lady Tigers from communicating a 110-66 win, their second in 16 hours.
Campbellsville (2-0, 0-0) found themselves in a game for half of the initial period, according to Coach
Ginger Colvin..
"They jumped out on us, hit a few shots and took a little lead," said Colvin. "But we had a spurt and pulled ahead by 18."
Wilberforce (0-2) rallied after that and pulled within nine before intermission, but CU made another run and captured a 53-31 half-time lead.
"We did a pretty good job," offered Colvin. "Our defense wasn't great, but playing again so soon after Friday's game ... that's to be expected."
The Lady Tigers take the court again on Friday when they go on the road to Trevecca Nazarene. Game time is 8 p.m.
