Lady Tiger golf third after day one of SEKI Invite

LONDON, Ky. -- Campbellsville University women's golf is sitting third after day one of its spring opener Thursday at the University of the Cumberlands' SEKI Invitational at Crooked Creek Golf Course. The tournament concludes Friday.



The Lady Tigers, which won the MSC Fall Invitational, shot a 343 and is 23 strokes behind first-place Lindsey Wilson (320). University of the Cumberlands is second with a 326. Only two other teams are competing in the SEKI Invitational, as Kentucky Wesleyan and Union College shot 388 to tie for fourth.

Katie White leads the Lady Tigers with an 81 after shooting 39 on her last nine holes. Amy Cline is on her heels in seventh-place with an 84. Kaela Smith follows with an 88 and Lauren Goodin shot 90 and McLane Farr shot 91. Lindsay Jones-Harris shot an 87 as an unattached individual.

White leads the field for the most pars, finishing even on 12 of the 18 holes, but only two Lady Tigers had birdies Thursday: White and Goodin.

Lindsey Wilson's Kelsey Joslyn shot +3 to lead the pack with a 76. McKinzie Price and Laura Beth Harris each shot 78 to tie for second in the individual standings with Lindsey Wilson's Kaitlin Allen. Chelsey Kay of LWC is fifth with a first-day score of 79
