PIKEVILLE, Ky. -- Campbellsville University women's golf is closing in on its second Mid-South Conference regular season championship, as it sits in second after day one of the MSC Spring Tournament at Stone Creek Golf Club.

The Lady Tigers trail University of the Cumberlands by 11 strokes to sit in second place, while Lauren Goodin leads at second-place among individual golfers. Goodin is only three strokes off the lead after shooting a 77 Monday. Cumberlands' McKinzie Price leads the pack with a +3, 74 performance.



Campellsville has three in the Top 10, as does Cumberlands and Lindsey Wilson, who is only four strokes behind Campbellsville in the team standings. Katie White shot 83 on Monday to tie for sixth-place, while Kaela Smith shot 85 and is tied for ninth. The Lady Tigers' fourth score belongs to McLane Farr, who shot 88.

Meleigha Pollock also shot 88 on Monday to tie Farr for 13th place, while Jordan Johnson shot a 92.

Campbellsville tied Lindsey Wilson College during the MSC Fall Tournament, but one in a playoff. Cumberlands finished third. The Mid-South Conference regular season championship is awarded to the school with the best combined finish in the two tournaments. Currently, Campbellsville is in front, with Cumberlands and Lindsey Wilson tied for second in the MSC regular season standings.

The tournament is scheduled to resume Tuesday at 9 a.m., weather permitting.
