Tigers dominate possession but shut out at Thomas More

Box Score CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. -- Campbellsville University out shot Thomas More College 20 to 10 Friday afternoon, but The Tigers were unable to find the back of the net in a 2-0 loss.
 



Eleven different Tigers fired off a try at the goal with senior midfielder Casey Clarke leading the way with six tries. Ten of the Tigers' 20 shots were on target, including seven in the second half after falling behind 2-0 in the first period.

Thomas More was led by Alex Oeswein, who scored both of the home team's goals on his only shots of the game. Oeswein netted the first goal in the 22nd minute on a free kick from 35 yards out. The second goal was in the 33rd minute, assisted by Alex Robbins and Keith Kreidenweis.

Zack Lawson recorded the shutout with 10 saves in the win for Thomas More, while Aaron Steele recorded the loss for the Tigers, stopping one of three shots on goal.

Campbellsville (0-4-1) will host its annual alumni game at Finley Stadium this Saturday, Sept. 17 at 8 p.m. ET and will return to action Monday, Sept. 19 for an 8 p.m. road trip to Brescia University.
