CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - Campbellsville University sits in third place after the first day of its Don Bishop Invitational at Campbellsville Country Club Monday. Campbellsville shot a team score of 338 on Monday in sloppy conditions at its home course.
The Lady Tigers took a hit as the final groups started to come in with a pair of high 80s and a 90. Katie White shot 81 to lead Campbellsville and sit tied for second-place individually. Lauren Goodin was on her heels with an 82 to sit in seventh-place. Kayla Kincer and Caitlyn Wilkerson shot 87 and 88, respectively to round out the Lady Tigers' top four, while Jordan Johnson fired a 90 for CU's top team.
Individually for the Lady Tigers, CU six of the top eight unattached spots: McLane Farr (90), Meleigha Pollock (92), Amy Cline (94), Lindsey Jones-Harris (96) and Joy Carter (100).
Lindsey Wilson's Kaitlin Allan shot one-under to lead all golfers on the day, men or women, with a 71. Her -1 score helped the Blue Raiders take a nine-stroke lead, 321 to 330, over University of the Cumberlands.
Audrey Nelson of Bryan College is second individually with a first-round score of 78, while unattached golfer Shannon Bishop from University of the Cumberlands is third with an 80.
Campbellsville holds a 20-stroke lead over fourth-place team Union College.
Play will resume Tuesday, Sept. 20 with an 8:30 a.m. ET shotgun start at Campbellsville Country Club.
