Box Score OWENSBORO, Ky. - A muddy, rainy night proved to be the right timing for Campbellsville University to break its five-game winless streak, as the Tigers recorded a 3-0 shutout at Brescia University Monday.

"It was a really, really nasty night," said Adam Preston, CU head coach. "We dominated most of the game. Our guys knew we needed a win, and we went out and got it."
Campbellsville collected nearly 20 shots in the game, taking a 2-0 lead in the first half.
Casey Clarke gave the Tigers a 1-0 lead by bending a free kick around the wall from 20 yards out. Before the half was over, Emmanuel Nfor worked his way through the Wildcat defense and assisted freshman Jordan Adams right in front of the goal for a 2-0 halftime lead.
Early in the second half, Ramiro Sanchez netted his first goal of the season after rebounding his own shot on goal, making it 3-0.
Kyle Thomas returned from a three-game absence due to a concussion by playing three-fourths of the game in goal without a shot on goal. Thomas left the game early though with a red card after a hard play out of the box.

Campbellsville (1-4-1) will open its home schedule Wednesday, Sept. 21 when it hosts Mountain State University for a 7 p.m. ET start.
