COLUMBIA, Ky. - Campbellsville shot six strokes better on the second day
 of its President's Cup battle with Lindsey Wilson and the Blue Raiders 
were nine shot worse, but the math still didn't work in the Tigers' 
favor. Lindsey retained the cup by a 12-3 margin.
The Tigers could muster but 2 ½ points in singles matches - wins by 
Trey Shirley and 
Brandon Collier and a push by 
Myles Ashley - to bring it's "Ryder Cup" scoring to three points. 
Lindsey Wilson manufactured a nearly insurmountable four-point margin after the first day of play at The Pines at Lindsey Wilson when they set a team scoring record of 275, 10 under par. The Blue Raiders were 12 under par on the par 5s while CU was +18 for the two days of play.
Medal play scores for the teams were: Lindsey Wilson 557 (274-283), Campbellsville 600 (303-297).
Trey Shirley tacked a second-day 65 onto his opening round 73 for a 138 finish, three shots off the medalist score of 135 (64-71) by LW's Nathan Clark. It staked Shirley to a three-way tie for second.
CU's 
Brandon Collier fired a second-day 69 giving him a 143 total, good for a tie for seventh. 
Scott Foster's 146 (72-74) gave him a tie for 10th. Other scores, included:

Michael Newton 154 (74-80), 13th; 
Myles Ashley 155 (81-74), 14th; 
Jacob Sims 161 (77-84), 17th; 
Matthew Chewning 166 (82-84), 18th;

The Tigers play this week in London, Ky. at the Bill Sergent Invitational at Crooked Creek.
