Tigers finish third at SCC Fall Golf Invitational

BARDSTOWN, Ky. – Campbellsville University men's golf shot the third-lowest round of the day Tuesday to move up one spot for a third-place finish in the St. Catharine College Fall Invitational at Maywood Country Club.





Trey Shirley and Tanner Hall each improved on their first round score to shoot 76 Tuesday and finish seventh and ninth, respectively. Matt Razor also improved on the second day, shooting 79. Brandon Collier and Scott Fosters scores were higher in Round 2. Collier shot 81, while foster shot 83.

As a team, the Tigers' second-day score of 312 finished behind Bellarmine's 297 and a 301 from Lindsey Wilson. That's the same order for the final team standings in the tournament. The 312 round was the fifth-lowest for the tournament, as both Bellarmine and Spalding University shot 311 on Monday.

CU finished second behind LWC for total pars in the tournament with 17.

Campbellsville will conclude its fall schedule next week as it makes its fifth consecutive trip to the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Men's Golf National Championships. The Tournament will run Monday, Oct. 22 through Wednesday, Oct. 24 at The Hombre Golf Club in Panama City Beach, Fla. Practice round is Sunday, Oct. 21.
