GEORGETOWN, Ky. - After scoring only three runs in its last 27 innings, Lady Tiger Softball has gone from receiving votes in the NAIA Top-25 poll just a couple of weeks ago, to reducing itself to the potential fourth seed in next week's MSC Tourney.
Georgetown College (30-12, 16-4) swept Campbellsville (32-18, 14-7) in convincing fashion Tuesday afternoon, 6-0, 5-1.
Georgetown 6, Campbellsville 0G-town pinned a shutout loss on the punchless Lady Tigers as Michelle Dresselhaus pitched a two-hitter and held CU to six base runners.
Georgetown scored three runs in the bottom of the first off Lady Tiger starter
Courtney Turpin, who was pulled after giving up five hits and two more runs in the second.
Martina Riney pitch five innings of six-hit ball, allowing one run.
Jordan Cornett singled in the first and Turpin singled in the second for CU's only hits.
Georgetown 5, Campbellsville 1CU led 1-0 after two when
Heather Oakley hit her ninth homer of the season. But Campbellsville was relegated to only three more hits the rest of the way by G-town starter Kayla Williams.

Campbellsville goes on the road Thursday at 4:00 to take on NCAA Div. I Murray State University. On Saturday at 1:00, the Lady Tigers host the University of the Cumberlands for Senior Day.
