BARDSTOWN Ky. - Campbellsville's women sit in third place out of eight teams after today's first round of the blustery Mid-South Championship at Maywood Country Club . The second round will be played on Tuesday.
Cumberlands placed five golfers in the top six to lead the field with a 328 total. Only Lindsey Wilson's Kaitlin Allen, who was medalist with a 76, broke up the U of C sweep of the top five places.
Katie White continued her solid spring play with a first-round 84 (43-41) to lead the Lady Tigers, who trail Cumberlands by 31 strokes and Lindsey Wilson by 17. White is in seventh place.
Campbellsville is 10 strokes clear of fourth-place Brescia.
McLane Farr, 90 (45-45); Meleigha Pollock, 92 (46-46); and
Kayla Kincer, 93 (39-54) all finished in the Top 20 at 17th, 18th and 19th, respectively.
Caitlyn Wilkerson shot a 97 (43-54).
Joy Carter shot 105 and was tied for 35th.
