CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Campbellsville University slid to fourth-place on the final day of the Mid-South Conference Fall Tournament and Don Bishop Invitational on Tuesday after Lindsey Wilson College shaved 30 strokes off its first-round score to pass the Lady Tigers.
CU was led in the final round by Meleigha Pollock, who cut her score by two points on the final day of the tournament named after her grandfather. She shot 84 and 82 in the two-day event to sit 11th individually, one stroke behind Katie White, who tied for ninth with an 83 and 82. Caitlyn Wilkerson was third for CU with an 83 and 85, followed by McLane Farr, who shot 84 and 93. Leslie Haistings was the Lady Tigers' fifth-score, improving her by three points from round one with a 113.
New MSC member Cumberland University claimed the top two individual scores to claim the MSC Fall Tournament title and take the lead in the regular season. Katie Legg shot five-over par with a 76 and 73, while Allyson Agee followed by shooting 78 and 78.
CU will return to the course Sept. 26 at the Transylvania Fall Invitational II in Lexington, Ky.
