Tiger finish sixth at MSC Fall/Bluegrass Classic

GEORGETOWN, Ky. – The Campbellsville University men's golf team was unable to gain any ground on the first round leaders on day two of the MSC Fall Tournament and Bluegrass Clasic.  The Tigers finished sixth with a two-day total of 608 (301-307).




Cody Goodwin was low man for the Tigers on day two shooting a 2-over par 74. He ended up with a two-day total of 150.  Michael Newton also finished with a total of 150 after shooting a second round 78.  Both finished tied for 16th.

Lukas Kvaavik shot a second round 76 giving him a two-day total of 153.  Brandon Collier finished with a two-day total of 155 (76-79) and Andrew Jansen finished with a total of 163 (82-81).  Jacob Sims, as the individual, finished with a two-day total of 162 (85-77).

Cumberland University won the team title with a two-day total of 573 (283-290).  Austin Garrett of Cumberland University won individual medalist honors with a 7 under-par two-day score of 137 (71-66).

Campbellsville will resume tournament play October 14 and 15 at the St. Catharine Invitational at Maywood Country Club in Bardstown, Ky.
