With the majority of the game's momentum still at the disposal of Pikeville, Campbellsville had to rely on its first break of the contest in the 52nd minute to make a move, offensively.

On the play, Fridell was fouled and inevitably brought down inside the penalty box by a Pikeville defender. CU was awarded a penalty kick. Taking the kick was CU sophomore midfielder Alex Ryan, who was successful on the attempt. With the goal, Ryan was able to chip away at the momentum Pikeville and tie the contest, 1-1.

Fridell and CU senior captain John Kennedy were able to draw attention from the Pikeville defense on the indirect as Ryan snuck in from behind the two, firing the ball into the back left corner of the net for a 2-1 lead.

The score remained the same for the next 24 minutes, until CU opened a four-goal insurance run to cap the 6-1 victory.

Campbellsville then continued its success, this time from the foot of sophomore forward Roraigh Yearwood. Yearwood found the net in the 84th and 86th minutes of play, Foster was credited with the assist on the second goal, making it 5-1 CU.

The final goal of the contest was an own-goal accredited to Pikeville when Kory Jansma kicked the ball directly into his own goal.
