Kaminski and Stephens lead Lady Tiger bowling

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Lady Tiger Bowling competed in the Orange and Black Classic hosted by Pikeville University on Oct. 19-20 and in the Southern Lanes Classic in Bowling Green, Ky. on Oct. 26-27. 

Campbellsville finished in 16th place in the Orange and Black Classic and was led by Chelsey Stephens' 1,057 pin total. She finished in 50th place out of 208 competitors. Keysha Martin was just behind Stephens as she knocked down 1,056 pins.

Kaylee Kaminski finished in third place for the Lady Tigers and bowled a 1,031 total for the tournament.

CU also competed in the Southern Lanes Classic last weekend hosted by Lindsey Wilson College and finished in sixth place out of 11 teams.

Kaminski led CU in the tournament with a fifth place finish and a pin total of 959. She was 91 pins behind first place finisher Shelby Fromm from Victory University (Tenn.). Chelsey Stephens and Brandee Lassiter rounded out the top 20 for the women's draw with an 881 and 850.

Keysha Martin and Marissa Rehmet both finished in the top 26 and were the final two competitors for the varsity team. They bowled an 818 and 788.

The junior varsity team was also in action as Ashley Newman rounded off the Top 25 with a 798 pin total.

Emily Florence, 684; Danielle Salyers, 621; Candace Thomas, 589 and Meredith Eastham, 586, all helped CU secure a third place finish for the junior varsity draw.

CU will travel to Marietta, Ga. for the Brunswick Southern College Classic Tier 1 tournament on Nov. 2-3.
