PENSACOLA, Fla.- The Tigers men's and women's bowling teams competed in the Spring Hill Classic in Pensacola, Florida, over the weekend. Both squads demonstrated consistency in the Sunshine State; the women's team impressed with a third-place finish, tallying 4,035 total pins, while the men's team delivered a solid fifth-place performance with 4,760 total pins against a competitive collegiate field.
Leading the way for the women was
Kaitlyn Szkwarok, who rolled games of 189, 177, 178, 165, and 183 for a total of 892 pins (178.4 avg.).
Alexis Ellis followed closely with a series of 195, 190, 155, 175, and 174, totaling 889 pins (177.8 avg.).
Elizabeth Morrow stayed consistent throughout the day with scores of 170, 153, 169, 148, and 204, finishing with 844 pins (168.8 avg.).
Megan Wallace contributed 711 pins (142.2 avg.) with games of 136, 136, 132, 168, and 139, while
Baylee Brewer rounded out the lineup, rolling 154, 127, 126, 130, and 162 for 699 pins (139.8 avg.).

Brandon Lakes stated, "Our ladies have been working hard in practice and their hard work really paid off this weekend. I am so proud of how far they have come as they continue to improve each and every week."
For the men,
Codie Tempe led with 992 pins (198.4 avg.), including a standout 279 in his opening game.
James Riggs followed with 946 pins (189.2 avg.),
Kadyn Hargis added 922 pins (184.4 avg.), Joseph Ballard recorded 788 pins in four games (197 avg.),
Ayden Sprowles scored 728 pins (182 avg.), and
Ryan Smith finished with 384 pins in two games (192 avg.).
Next up, the Tigers will hit the lanes again on November 15-16 in Lafayette, Indiana, for the Boilermaker Classic, ready to keep their momentum rolling.
