Box Score CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Campbellsville University was unable to keep up with Reinhardt University during a Senior Day shootout, as the first-year Eagles made Mid-South Conference history with a 66-48 win to claim a share of the MSC West Division title.
The first quarter was a back-and-forth battle, as Reinhardt and Campbellsville traded touchdowns in a 14-14 start to the game.

Bryan Parnes showed confidence in the pocket to start the second quarter, hitting Demytrius Gipson on a 20-yard pass over the middle and a 39-yard touchdown strike down the Eagle sideline to take the Tigers' only lead of the game, 21-14. Gipson finished with a career-high 159 yards receiving on nine catches and two touchdowns.
CU held Reinhardt on fourth down on the next series, but was unable to capitalize, going three-and-out. Reinhardt responded with a 47-yard TD pass from Ryan Thompson to Tyler Bradley to even the score once again, 21-21, with 6:47 left in the half.
The Eagles took the lead, 28-21, after Reinhardt recovered a Larry Walls fumble at the Eagle 13 and then drove 85 yards and scored on a 15-yard TD by PJ Greene. CU continued its shootout, as Parnes found Trevon Chatman on a 50-yard connection to the Reinhardt 3. Tajh Milliken later scored on a 7-yard QB keeper to even the score once more, 28-28, with 51 seconds left in the half.
Thompson wasn't going to fold though, as he hit Aaron Kennedy for a 38-yard pass to set up a 40-yard field goal by Matthew Moon to give Reinhardt a 31-28 lead at the half.
Reinhardt didn't miss a beat in the second half, scoring on five of six possessions to break the game open. The Eagles converted 7-of-8 third down tries in the final 30 minutes.
The Ealges put together a four-minute, 79-yard drive to open the second half to stretch the score to 38-28 on an 11-yard TD run by Elliot Clark. After a Chatman fumble, Reinhardt scored again on a 7-yard touchdown run by PJ Greene. Reinhardt's lead was now, 45-28.
Two drives later, CU stopped Reinhardt for the only time in the second half when defensive end Sedric Watson intercepted his second pass of the season and returned it 30 yards to the Eagle 20. Milliken dashed 20 yards up the middle for CU's first score of the half, making it 45-35 with 3:24 left in the third.
Reinhardt went on to score on its next three possessions with a 1-yard run by TC Carter to end the third quarter, a 29-yard run by Sam Jones early in the fourth and a 2-yard run by J Abrams.
CU added two scores in the fourth quarter as Milliken found Gipson on a 9-yard TD pass and Parnes hit Harrington for a 2-yard score with 1:28 left.
Campbellsville (4-6) closed the season with its most offensive yards (532) of the season but allowed a program record 783 yards by Reinhardt, including single-game records of 424 yards passing and 370 rushing. Thompson had a career-day with 424 yards passing on 17-of-25 with three touchdowns, while Kennedy and Bradley both had career-highs with 160 and 123 yards receiving, respectively. Thompson also connected with Kennedy on a 79 yard touchdown in the first quarter – the longest pass play in Reinhardt's one-season history.
Parnes threw for a season-high 239 yards and finished with 1,242 yards in the season. Milliken collected 100 yards rushing – the most by a CU quarterback since Josh Dye (current defensive coordinator) rushed for 100 yards against Lambuth in 2005.
