Box Score CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Campbellsville University was out scored by 20 in the second half after leading for the first 21 minutes of the game Saturday, as the University of Pikeville claimed a 79-61 win in Powell Athletic Center.

The Tigers stormed out to an 11-2 lead in the first three minutes of play. The nine-point lead proved to be their largest of the afternoon, as Pikeville answered with a 7-0 run to cut the margin to a basket.
CU fought off Pikeville in the first half to maintain a two-point lead at the break. A'Darius Pegues scored 13 of his 14 total points in the first half, including going 5-of-5 from the free throw line in the opening period.
The seventh-ranked Pikeville Bears were hard to stop in the second half, shooting 63.3 percent from the floor, including 4-of-7 from 3-point range. UPike was also a 8-of-8 from the free throw line.
Keala King converted a 3-point play for Pikeville with 18:07 left in the game to give the Bears their first lead of the game, 36-33. It was the start of a 16-point half for King, who finished with a double-double 23 points and 10 rebounds. Elisha Justice followed with 20 points, including 14 in the second half. Bruce Reed had 17 points in the game and Chris Cantino had 10.
Midway through the second half, Pikeville took advantage of three missed shots and three CU turnovers to create a 13-0 run and eventually led by 20 points, 77-57, with 2:18 to play.
The Tigers had only four second chance points on two offensive rebounds, as UPike dominated the glass, 37-22.
DeShawn Dockery followed Pegues' team lead with 11 points, while Eric Gaines and Jordan Myers had eight apiece.
Campbellsville (2-2, 0-2 MSC) will spend the next week in exhibition play, competing in the Round Ball Showcase. The Tigers travel to the University of North Carolina at Wilmington on Tuesday, Nov. 26 for a 7 p.m. EST tipoff and then Samford University in Birmingham, Ala., on Friday, Nov. 29 for an 8 p.m. EST tipoff. Friday's game will be broadcast live on WLCU 88.7 FM.
