Lady Tigers are 12th in latest NAIA rankings

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Lady Tigers dropped out of the NAIA Div. I Women's Basketball Coaches' Top 10 last week and slid another spot in this week's rankings.

Last Thursday's two-point loss to No. 21 Shawnee State was Campbellsville's undoing even after manhandling Rio Grande on Saturday, 95-55.

Cumberland University (22-1) leads four Mid-South Conference teams in the Top 25, remaining at No. 6 for the second week in a row. Georgetown (16-7) dropped a spot to 13th and Shawnee State (18-6) improved one spot to 21st. St. Catharine and Lindsey Wilson colleges are both receiving votes, SCC at 28th and LWC at 34th.

Freed-Hardeman (21-1) and Oklahoma City (18-2) tied for No. 1 and Vanguard (16-1) is third.

The Lady Tigers (18-5, 10-3) have a tough row to hoe the remainder of the MSC schedule. They travel to league-leading Cumberland University Thursday night and then skip over to Williamsburg, Ky. on Saturday for a match-up against the University of the Cumberlands. CU stays on the road against Pikeville and UVa.-Wise before hosting No. 13 Georgetown and St. Catharine in a Thursday/Saturday split. Campbellsville closes out the regular on the road at Lindsey Wilson.

The Lady Tigers travel on Thursday to Lebanon, Tenn. and a 7 o'clock clash with Cumberland University. You can catch that game on radio at 88.7, or look up the audio link at www.campbellsvilletigers.com.
