Freshman Victoria Decker pitched the first four innings, striking out three and allowing the only SCC hit in the first inning.

The Lady Tigers, on the other hand, were unstoppable at the plate, using 13 hits for the 8-0 run-rule victory.

CU freshman Shelby Ray doubled in the first inning, but it took until the second for Lady Tiger bats to get hot collectively. A triple from Brooke Boils was the first of seven hits in the inning, scoring Heather Oakley, who reached on a fielder's choice. Campbellsville batted around, ending the inning up, 6-0.

The second two runs came in the fourth with four Lady Tiger singles. Courtney Turpin came in to relieve Decker and clinch the last three outs of the game to secure the CU victory.

Napier's two-run homer was the next to go on the board in the bottom of the third, after Alyssa Barker was given a free base to begin the inning.

SCC had a burst of energy in the fourth when first baseman Shelby Thornhill hit a long ball over the fence, but it was quickly dampened after the sophomore was called out for missing third base.
