London, Ky. – Campbellsville's Men's Golf Team finished play at the Bill Sergent Invitational today at Crooked Creek Country, unable to improve on yesterday's team score of 321 by shooting 325. The Tigers' two-day total was 646 for the tournament. They finished in 10th place as a team.
Michael Newton was once again low man for the Tigers with a score of 76, giving him a two-day total of 151. That score was good for a tie for 20th place. Newton, along with Lukas Kvaavik, were the only team members to make birdies today. Both collected two apiece. Kvaavik fired a second-day 79, giving him a two-day total of 157.
Justin Hazel shot an 84 bringing his two-day total to 165. Jacob Sims shot an 88 giving him a two-day total of 175. Tanner Hall shot an 86, giving him a total of 178 for the tournament. Team individual, Matt Razor, shot a second-round 90, bringing his tournament total to 175.
Franck Medale, of Lindsey Wilson College, shot back-to-back 71s on his way to taking home individual medalist honors for the tournament. The University of the Cumberlands won the team title after shooting a 2-over par score of 290 both days.
The Tigers will resume tournament action on Sept. 23-24 in the Don Bishop Invitational at Campbellsville Country Club.
