Tiger golf finishes fifth at Don Bishop Invite

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky.  – The Campbellsville University men's golf improved its team score from Monday to secure a fifth-place team finish in the annual Don Bishop Invitational at Campbellsville Country Club.

The Tigers had a two-day total of 625 (314-311).



  


Michael Newton was once again low man for the Tigers shooting a 76.  That gave him a two-day total of 151.  Lukas Kvaavik shot another 79 to bring his total to 158.  Andrew Jansen had a two-day total of 159 (79-80).  Cody Goodwin had a total of 160 (81-79) and Dalton Olson had a two-day total of 164 (87-77).
 

The second Tiger team in the tournament was led by Matt Razor's two-day total of 154 (78-76).  Jacob Sims totaled 155 (75-80) for the two-day event.  Dylan Bray had a total of 156 (79-77), while fellow freshman Justin Hazel had a two-day total of 166 (79-87).  Tanner Hall had a two-day total of 167 (82-85).  The team had a score of 629 (311-318) for both days.


The two individuals for the tournament were Jared Fannin who had a two-day total of 173 (80-93) and Brandon Collier who totaled 158 (74-84) for both days.


Lindsey Wilson College won the team tournament with a score of 591 (297-294) over the two days.  Four of their top five made all-tournament team.


Franck Medale of Lindsey Wilson was the individual medalist with a two-day total of 141 (71-71).

 

Cardinal Stritch University finished second as a team with a total of 605 (303-302).


The Tigers will return to action Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 at the MSC Fall Tournament in Georgetown at Cherry Blossom Golf Course.
