JAMESTOWN, Ky. – Campbellsville held on to its fourth-place standing in the final round of the Blue Raider Classic and Mid-South Conference Spring Tournament on Tuesday to finish third in MSC regular season standings.
CU finishes the year 7-5 after finishing third at the Bluegrass Fall Classic and MSC Fall Tournament in October at the Cherry Blossom in Georgetown, Ky.
During Tuesday's final round of the Bluegrass Classic, hosted by Lindsey Wilson College at the Lake Cumberland Golf Club and Resort, Cassidy Scantland led CU with an 83. She finished eighth among 41 golfers after shooting 88 in the first round Monday. She parred 12 of her 36 holes and birdied two.
Olivia Parrott finished 13th with a two-day total of 180 (94-86), followed by Ashley Goodin in 18th place with a 187 (91-96). Grace Gupton shot 97 and 94 for a two-round score of 191 and was 21st. Anna-Marie Hyatt tied Gupton for 21st after shooting 95 and 96 in her two rounds.
University of the Cumberlands and Lindsey Wilson College finished first and second in both the MSC fall and spring tournaments to claim the top two spots in the MSC season standings, respectively.
Cumberlands shot 674 for the tournament, while LWC shot 677. Cumberland University (Tenn.)'s Bri-Anne Tokariwski won medalist honors after shooting 80 and 77 in her two rounds.
Campbellsville will return to action April 7-8 in the RedHawk Spring Classic, hosted by Martin Methodist College at Canebrake Golf Club in Athens, Ala.
