GEORGETOWN, Ky. – Lady Tiger Golf continues its hot spring with an all-freshman class and is sitting pretty after the first round of the Bluegrass Spring Classic. CU finished day one of the two-day tournament in first place with a team score of 328.

Campbellsville and University of Pikeville (332) will look to do battle tomorrow for the championship after they both sit way ahead of Asbury University (351) and Georgetown College (376).
Cassidy Scantland finished the first round with an 81 (40-41) and is tied with Ashley Veatch (41-40) of the University of Pikeville for first place after round one. Scantland is looking to win her fifth tournament and continue her outstanding freshman year for the Lady Tigers.
Olivia Parrott was the only Lady Tiger, and second competitor total, to shoot a nine-hole score in the 30s, as she finished with an 82 (43-39). Anna Marie Hyatt also shot an 82 (42-40) and she shares third place with Parrot and UPike's Katy Humphrey.
Ashley Goodin finished just behind Parrot and Hyatt with an 83 (41-42). Grace Gupton rounded out CU with an 87 (43-44).
Campbellsville was the only team to have every golfer finish the first round in the Top 10.
CU will tee off tomorrow morning at the Cherry Blossom Golf Club and is looking to win its second straight tournament after defeating the competition in the RedHawk Classic last week in Athens, Ala.
