On the women's side, it is their second consecutive tournament win and third win of the season. The freshman-laden class has been led by Cassidy Scantland who now has five tournament wins and has also won back-to-back tournaments for the first time in her career.

Scantland finished round one with an 81 (40-41), which was tied with Pikeville's Ashley Veatch (41-40).

Olivia Parrott and Anna Marie Hyatt both finished tied for third place, shooting 82s. It is the first time in their young careers that they have finished in the Top 5. Ashley Goodin finished tied for sixth, just one stroke behind teammates Parrott and Hyatt (83). Grace Gupton rounded out CU with an 87 (43-44) and finished tied for 10th place.

Campbellsville (328) won the overall tournament, beating University of Pikeville (332) by four strokes. Asbury University (351) and Georgetown College (376) finished well beyond the pace set by the Lady Tigers and Lady Bears.

Lukas Kvaavik finished tied for 17th with an 82 and Jacob Sims played as an individual and finished with an 89.

The win for the men's team is the first of the season, as their best finish coming in was a second place finish at the St. Catharine Invite on Oct. 15.
