CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. -- The Campbellsville women's bowling team earned its first hardware of the season Sunday, taking home a silver trophy as the Green River Classic runners-up. Together, the Lady Tigers knocked down 6,456 pins, while the University of Pikeville took out 7,116 to win the title.

In the baker games on Sunday, CU expanded its second-place position, but couldn't quite catch the dominant Pikeville squad.
In the individual games Saturday, Stephens finished the five-game series with a total pin-fall of 944. Her best game was the fourth in the series, when she bowled a 235. The sixth annual Green River Classic, hosted by CU at Phillips Lanes, spanned two days and consisted of both individual and team competition. Trophies went to first and second place teams in both the varsity and JV competition.
All tournament individual medals went to top five individuals.
