Box Score CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – All 15 Lady Tigers scored at least a point Monday night as No. 3 Campbellsville University downed Fisk University, 96-49, in its final home non-conference game of the season.
Fourteen of the Lady Tigers played more than 11 minutes in the game, with Macie Spence leading the team in minutes played (17) and points (13). Chelsea Craig scored 13 points and had four rebounds in 16 minutes of play, while Lindey Young led all players with nine rebounds and added nine points through 16 minutes off the bench.
Sophomore guard Emily Fox, a Christmas break transfer from Austin Peay University, and Nathalie Felipe, a transfer from Mineral Area College, both saw their first action of the season for CU. Fox hit a 3 for her first points in her Lady Tiger career. Felipe followed with her first CU points on the next possession. The two newcomers combined for 13 of 65 bench points.
CU steadily built its lead throughout the night. Abby Miller hit a pair of free throws with 3:21 to play in the first half to give Campbellsville a 20-point lead, 40-19. Mille led CU with six of its 27 assists.
The Lady Tiger subs shot 62.1 percent in the second half from the floor and CU finished the game hitting 55.6 percent of its shots, including 52.4 percent from behind the arc. The Lady Tigers held the Bulldogs to 35.3 percent from the floor for the game.
CU out-rebounded Fisk, 44-25.
Kimtrice Cox and Jessica Wright scored 17 and 12 points, respectively to lead Fisk.
Prior to the game, Coach Ginger Colvin was honored for her 200th career win last month in Las Vegas over Montana-Western. Colvin now has a 202-55 career record in her eighth season.
Campbellsville (17-1) will travel to Waleska, Ga., Saturday to play Reinhardt University in a non-conference game at 2 p.m. EST.
