Box Score CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Top-ranked Campbellsville University men's basketball closed out its non-conference schedule Monday night with an 82-64 win over Fisk University in Powell Athletic Center.

Fisk, which was looking for its first win of the season, kept the Tigers close in the early minutes, evening the score at 18 and taking a 21-19 lead, but that's when senior Darius Clement hit his first of four 3-pointers in the game to start a 9-0 run. Part of that run included a block and basket by recent sub Elliott Young, which brought the crowd to its feet.
Moments later the CU students were able to see the first dunk of the spring semester, when Damontre Harris caught an alley oop pass from D'Von Campbell and slammed it down to give the Tigers their first double-digit lead, 36-25. Fisk cut the score to seven in the final minutes of the first half, but Campbellsville carried a 39-29 lead into halftime.
Harris finished the night with his ninth double-double of the season, collecting 14 points and game-highs in blocks (5) and rebounds (16). He also led the Tigers with three steals and shot 66.7 percent from the floor in his 26 minutes played.
Campbellsville opened the second half with a 15-0 run, including three 3s by Clement, to take its largest lead of the game at 25 points, 54-29. Clement finished the night with 14 points and five assists. The Tigers went on to hit eight 3-pointers in the second half and finished with 11 in the game, while shooting 42 percent from beyond the arc.
Fisk worked the margin back down to 14 points, 58-44, with 11:48 to play, but was unable to stop the Tigers.
Campbell led the CU with 16 points, while Eric Gaines equaled his career-high in assists (5) for the second straight game.
Richmond Jackson attempted to carry the load for Fisk, scoring 25 of the Bulldogs' 64 points. He also led the team with seven rebounds and had two assists.
Campbellsville (18-1, 5-0 MSC) will resume Mid-South Conference action Thursday night, Jan. 15, hosting Life University in Powell Athletic Center at 8 p.m. EST.
