McDERMOTT, Ohio — Tiger golfers recorded another score of 310 to leave them in a tie for fifth with University of Pikeville today at the Mid-South Fall Invitational at Elks Creek Country Club.
Robert Johnson, a junior from Ontario, Canada, shot a 74 (38-36) to lead the Tigers in Day 2. Johnson finished the tournament with a 150 (76-74).
Following Johnson was James Higgins, who shot a second-round 77 (37-40) and a final tournament score of 153 (76-77). Pierce Dahl was next for the Tigers. Dahl recorded an 82 yesterday but improved today as he shot 76 (37-39), and a 158 total.
Rounding out the Tigers' scoring was Tyler Harrod 76-83; and senior Matthew Razor, 91-83.
Cumberland University hung on to claim the team victory. The Bulldogs of Lebanon, Tenn. shot 302 today to win by just two strokes over the University of the Cumberlands.
Winning the tournament individually was Ryan Botts of Cumberland University who shot 71-72 for two-day total of 143.

The Tigers have just two days of rest before heading to Vonroe, Tenn. on Monday-Tuesday, Oct. 5-6 for the NCCAA Mid-East Region at Rarity Bay Golf Course. At this tournament they will try to qualify for the NCCAA National Tournament set for October 18-21 in Panama City, Fla.
