BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — Campbellsville men's golf team finished in fourth place today after rain forced the cancelation of the final round of the MSC Fall Roundup at Bowling Green Country Club.
Golfers were able to play nine holes today, but those scores did not count, as the conditions were deemed unplayable.
Junior
James Higgins placed third and was named to the All-Tournament team after shooting a 71. Higgins has been pleased with his performance and his team's performance this fall.
"It's definitely been a step up in performance compared to last year. I think to improve as a team for the spring we all need to tighten up our game, there is no standout player on this team, and we are all capable of going low. Overall, it has been a great fall season," Higgins said.
Robbie Johnson recorded a 73, which left him in a tie for sixth place.
Wade Cave was next for the Tigers as he shot a 79, good for a tie at 25
th place.
Tyler Harrod finished in a tie for 29
th after shooting an 80 and
Jared Fannin shot an 81 leaving him in a tie for 33
rd.
Head Coach,
Jim Ward, was very happy with the Tigers' fourth place finish.
"We were playing really well today until we stopped due to wet greens. I feel we have enough talent to move up near the top in the spring. We will have to dedicate ourselves to strive to work on our individual weaknesses this winter. I am looking forward to spring golf."
Lindsey Wilson College shot a 292 to cap the team win. Jonathon Grabara of Lindsey Wilson shot a 69 giving him medalist honors.
