CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — Tiger basketball opened the season in style tonight in Powell Athletic Center defeating Ohio University-Chillicothe, 119-52, in the 16th Annual Lou Cunningham Classic.

After getting down 2-0 in the opening minutes and coach Keith Adkins calling a quick timeout, Campbellsville answered his call and went on a 20-0 run to quickly put the game out of reach.
The Tigers were led by Sekou Harris' 21 points and was supported by freshman Hagen Tyler's 17. Also, senior Dii-jon Allen-Jordan scored 15 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for his first double-double in the maroon and gray.
Campbellsville shot the lights out from 3-point land nailing 53 percent from deep on 17-of-32 shooting. CU was led by Tyler's 5-of-8 shooting from behind the arch and was followed by Harris' 4-of-5 mark.
Ronald Scott narrowly missed a double-double with seven points and nine assists. The Tigers dished out 26 assists on 42 made buckets while Ohio Chillicothe only recording five assists on 19 makes. Campbellsville also out-rebounded the Hilltoppers 52-33.
Alek Adkins led the Hilltoppers in scoring with 12 points on 5-of-10 shooting.
Campbellsville went into halftime leading 75-16 and was able to get everyone dressed into the game early on. The only players playing over 21 minutes overall was Harris and Scott.
The second half wasn't as impressive as the first but Campbellsville's 18 3-pointers did finish with the third most in program history. The most came on Feb. 15, 1992 against then Pikeville College, as the Tigers drained 22.
The Tigers 119 points ranks No. 8 in history since the 1964-65 season. The most points for CU came against Graceland in 1990-91 when the Tigers scored 171 points.
Campbellsville continues tomorrow in the Lou Cunningham Classic with a schedule tipoff with preseason No. 1 Dalton State at 4 p.m. ET. The Roadrunners lost on Friday night to open the Classic, 77-71 to Lindsey Wilson College. The Blue Raiders will play Ohio-Chillicothe starting at 2 p.m. ET.
