SPRINGFIELD, Ky. — Lady Tiger volleyball fell in its last regular season match to Mid-South Conference foe, St. Catharine College, in four sets tonight, 16-25, 19-25, 25-19, 22-25.Â

Campbellsville (18-14, 8-8 MSC) ends the regular season siting fifth in the MSC standings. The conference tournament starts Thursday, Nov. 12 at South Warren High School in Bowling Green, Ky. The Lady Tigers will play University of the Cumberlands in their opening quarterfinal matchup on Thursday at 7 p.m. EST.
Tonight, Campbellsville was lead by Annija Abolina's three aces and 12 kills with a team-high hitting percentage of .250. Mirela Vasconselos and Jana Kortas both recorded eight kills, with Kortas narrowly missing a double-double with 10 digs.
During the first set, the Lady Tigers struggled recording only eight kills falling victim to eight errors. The Patriots used 16 kills and a .417 hitting percentage to dominate play.
Set two also went to the Patriots, 25-19, but Campbellsville gained a little momentum, flipping the score 25-19 in their favor in the third set. The Lady Tigers finished with a hitting percentage of .265 in the third set but fell back in the 100's in the decisive set (0.147).
Campbellsville finished the match with 40 kills compared to 25 errors and .114 hitting percentage. St. Catharine recorded 54 kills compared to only 19 errors and .246 hitting percentage.
Inoa Fields assisted on 31 of the teams 40 kills, while Jordan Strickland led the Patriots with 45 assists.
On the defensive end, Jessie Pendleton led the way with 16 digs, while Chanel Raymundo matched Kortas with 10 digs.
St. Catharine (26-11, 10-6 MSC) is receiving points in the NAIA and finishes the regular season third in the MSC. The Patriots were led by Rebecca Just recording a double-double with 19 kills and 17 digs. She also added four blocks in the win. St. Catharine will play Cumberland University on Thursday at 3 p.m. EST in the quarterfinal match of the MSC tournament.Â
