Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Tiger hoops rolls past Marygrove, 105-77 in LWC Classic

COLUMBIA, Ky. — Campbellsville men's basketball finishes the Lindsey Wilson Classic with a 2-0 record by dominating Marygrove College, 105-77 on Saturday afternoon at Biggers Sports Center.

The Tigers (7-2, 1-1 MSC) blistered the nets, hitting 51 percent (36-of-71) from the floor, 42 percent (10-of-24) from 3 and 74 percent (23-of-31) from the free throw line.

Dii'Jon Allen-Jordan led CU with 23 points with Elliott Young also picking up a season-high of 22. Young knocked down all eight free throws – his first charity stripe shots of the season. Allen-Jordan led the Tigers with nine rebounds, narrowly missing his sixth double-double of the season.

Sekou Harris and Hagen Tyler also finished in double-figures with 15 and 14 points, respectively. Every Tiger saw action in the game with all but one scoring.

After trailing 24-23 midway through the first half, Campbellsville flipped the switch and went on an 8-1 run to take a 32-25 lead -  a lead it would not relinquish. Marygrove did fight back and cut the lead to as little as six, 38-32, but Zach Perry drained the first of his two 3-pointers to push CU back ahead, 41-32.

Campbellsville led 49-38 at halftime.

Marygrove was able to cut the Tigers lead to nine, 49-40, but the second half was all Campbellsville. CU jumped out to its first 20-point lead, 77-55 with 10:19 left then went on a 17-7 run to go ahead by 30, 92-62 with a Rob Robinson 3-pointer.

Robinson then gave the Tigers their biggest lead with a free throw to go up by 33 points, 105-72 with 1:28 left.

Campbellsville forced 21 turnovers and scored 25 points off those mishaps. The Tigers also only turned the ball over 10 times.

Campbellsville will return home on Monday, Nov. 30, as they host Indiana University Southeast at 8 p.m. EST in Powell Athletic Center. The game will be live on the CU Sports Network, 88.7 The Tiger (wlcufm.com) and http://portal.stretchinternet.com/camp/.
