CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — Campbellsville men's basketball knocked off another NAIA Top 10 opponent tonight. The Tigers defeated No. 6 Evangel University, 85-68, for CU's third straight win to open the season.

Campbellsville (3-0) was led by Dii'jon Allen-Jordan's third straight double-double to start the season, recording 23 points and 11 rebounds. He was joined in double-figures with Hagen Tyler (15), Sekou Harris (12) and Ronald Scott (11).
In the first half, Evangel never led by more than seven points. The Tigers were hot on the Crusaders tail right up until halftime and actually took a first half lead by four points, shooting 50 percent (18-36) from the floor.
Elliott Young sparked the Tigers at the 16-minute mark in the second half by picking up a steal and hitting a streaking Scott for a break away layup. On the ensuing possession, Allen-Jordan picked up the defensive board and hit Harris who then assisted in on a deep 3-pointer by Tyler.
Campbellsville then capped off a quick 7-0 run with another steal in the backcourt and Tyler found Allen-Jordan for another monstrous slam.
The Tigers ended up starting the second half on a 12-4 run forcing the Evangel Crusaders to call a timeout, which brought the Powell Athletic Center crowd to its feet.
After the timeout with 16 minutes left to go, the Tigers never would surrender their double-digit lead.
Campbellsville finished with a season low turnover mark with only 13. CU also forced Evangel to turn the ball over 17 times.
Harris lead the CU with seven of the 18 assists. CU finished the game shooting 49.3 percent (35-71) from the field but struggled for the first time behind the 3-point line, hitting 26.9 percent (7-26).
Evangel falls to 0-1 to start the season.
CU will now host Kentucky Christian University on Tuesday, Nov. 10 before hitting the road for the rest of the month of November. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. ET and fans can watch live on the CU Sports Network - HERE.
