The Lady Tigers outshot Shawnee State 14 to eight with eight of CU's on goal. Campbellsville got on the board in the 18th minute when MSC Player of the Year Mhairi Fyfe found Aris Kuntz for the first score.
Campbellsville took advantage of another costly mistake by the Bears and the Lady Tigers took all the momentum late in the first half. On a corner kick by second-team All-MSC Kathryn Thomas, Chelsea Gill's (first-team All-MSC) shot rocketed off the crossbar but a Shawnee State defender fell victim to an unlucky own goal.
The Lady Tigers took a 2-0 lead into halftime.
Coming out of the break, Fyfe put the game out of reach in the 47th minute. Thomas delivered a free kick into the box and after a deflection, Fyfe was in the right place at the right time scoring her Mid-South Conference leading 26th goal of the season and 64th in her career.
In the 62nd minute, another first-team all-conference performer, Rachel Veatch, added on with the Lady Tigers fourth score and her 12 of the season.
Campbellsville's Amanda Howard finished with her 11th shutout of the season and recorded five saves. Howard came into the tournament ranked No. 4 in the NAIA with a 0.370 goals against average. She has only allowed six goals all season compared to the Lady Tigers scoring 69 themselves.
