CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — Jordan Doram had a career night in both scoring and rebounding as the Lady Tigers defeated Fisk tonight in the Powell Athletic Center, 77-54.
After a week of studying and stress, the Lady Tigers (9-3, 3-1 MSC) finished fall finals week in a refreshing way over the Bulldogs (2-8).
CU won the battle of the boards, outrebounding Fisk 47-28. Doram led all rebounders with eight total and her career scoring night, 15 points, was done in just 12 minutes of play. Lexxus Graham matched Doram's total in the scoring column, draining three 3s and knocking down two jumpers and a pair of free throws for 15 of her own, 13 in the first half.
Emily Fox led the Lady Tigers in scoring with 16 points.
After a back-and-forth early few minutes, Campbellsville was able to push out to a 20-12 first quarter lead. The second period was by far the most productive for CU as the Lady Tigers put up 28 points, helped mostly by Graham and Fox from the outside.
Between the 3s and a killer transition game, the Lady Tigers moved out to 48-22 lead at the intermission.
Stevonna Scott led Fisk in scoring, mostly from the paint, and finished with 19 points to lead all scorers.
The Lady Tigers host Talladega tomorrow afternoon, Dec.12, as the first game of a women-men double header. Tip is set for 2 p.m. ET for the women and the Tigers meet Martin Methodist at 4:00 p.m.
