Horne wins jumps, CU eighth at DePauw Invite

GREENCASTLE, Ind. – JaNaiqua Horne scored 21 of Campbellsville University's 35 team points Saturday with two first-place finishes at the women's indoor track and field DePauw University Invitational.

Horne claimed the top spot in the long jump (5.26m) and triple jump (10.83m) to lead CU, as well as an eighth-place finish in the 60-meter dash in 8.18 seconds.

Abby Wicke collected four team points with a fifth-place finish in the 1,000-meter run. Kelsey Feltner added three points with a sixth-place 60-meter dash time. Sarah Johnson and Mallory Vest combined to add six points with a fifth- and seventh-place finish, respectively, in the 3K.

Campbellsville finished eighth of 15 teams with 35 points. DePauw won the meet by more than 140  points.

Campbellsville will travel to Cedarville, Ohio next week for the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Championships.
