Campbellsville set a season-high with 13 hits in game one, breaking its previous mark of 12 against Shawnee State on March 27.
Jacqueline Roof set the tone for how the game would go, leading off with her fourth home run and Campbellsville never looked back.
One day after their birthdays, the Benton twins celebrated in style. Kristin Benton went 3-for-4 with four RBI and scored one run to lead the Lady Tigers. Her sister, Erin Benton, picked up two hits but one-upped her older sister with her third long ball of the season. E. Benton finished with two hits in as many at-bats and drove in three runs.
Hailey Szpila and Shelby Ray also had two hits in three at-bats. Rebecca Miller, Reagan Kingrey and Kendyl Ahrens all had one base knock apiece along with Roof.
Victoria Decker (13-2) started in the circle for the Lady Tigers and rolled through four innings of work. She allowed only one hit and one walk, while also striking out two of her 15 batters faced. Her 13 wins are most in the MSC.
Decker gave way to Kingrey for the final frame to close out game one in five innings.
If the 13 hits in game one weren't enough, the Lady Tigers smashed that season-high output with 17 knocks in game two.
Kristin Benton and Hailey Szpila both recorded three hits in three at-bats but the long ball aided CU one again. Szpila drove in a career-high six RBI but four of those came with one swing of the bat with her first collegiate grand slam in the third inning.
Markie Smith, Jacqueline Roof, Erin Benton and Rebecca Miller all recorded multiple-hit games with two knocks apiece.
Neely Quint (11-3) pitched a five-inning complete game, allowing nine hits and four earned runs. Four of those hits and three of the Patriots' five runs came in the final inning.
