POOLER, Ga. — (GOLF STAT) Campbellsville's Cassidy Scantland fell off the pace in the NAIA women's golf championships and recorded a second round 90 to drop into 117th place.
Scantland started her round with two pars but recorded the worst hole of her career on the par five, third hole. Scantland had to take two unplayables and recorded a 13.
She recovered nicely with a birdie on the par four seventh but fell back two more strokes with a double bogey on No. 9 – going out with a nine-over, 45.
In the final nine holes, Scantland recorded five bogeys and two double bogeys on holes No. 13 and 15 – finishing with a matching 45 on the back.
Overall on the round, Scantland recorded one birdie, eight pars, five bogeys, three doubles and one plus-eight.

Sarah Gilliard (Coastal Georgia) followed her first round 77 with a second round, 81 (158) to sit in a tie for 47th place. Kamie Rash (Kansas Wesleyan) followed her first round 83 with a five-over, 77. Rash sits in a tie for 58th place.
Heather Shake from Houston-Victoria leads the individual tournament, sitting at one-under par for the round. Mid-South Conference foe, Bri-Ann Tokariwski from University of the Cumberlands sits in fourth place at four-over.
Northwood (Fla.) leads the team tournament at 33-over par. The Seahawks sit one stroke ahead of Cumberlands. The Patriots fired the low-round for the teams with a 298 in round two.
