CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — Shawnee State's Jenny Campbell scored a pair of goals in each half to knock off Campbellsville University women's soccer, 2-nil on Saturday night.
The loss for CU is the fourth-straight of the season after starting 8-2 - the losing streak is the longest in the Dakstats era dating back to 2006. On the season, the Lady Tigers drop to 8-6 overall and 0-4 inside the Mid-South Conference. Shawnee State evens its record at 4-4 overall and 3-2 in conference play.
Campbell started the scoring late in each half, as she netted a pair of goals in the 36
th and 88
th minutes, respectively. The score in the second half came after a foul in the 18-yard box, which constituted a penalty kick.
Campbellsville controlled the possession for most of the game, tallying up 16 total shots and eight on goal. Shawnee State finished with just six shots – four on goal – and a pair finding the back of the net. CU's

The Lady Tigers had opportunities to knot the match at one but were unlucky.
In a span of 10 minutes to start the second half, CU had four chances but Shawnee State's Michaela Garner came up big. Coming in ranked No. 21 in saves per game at just over eight, she tallied four stops in that span, while
Erica McWilliams and
Lakin Walls both missed a pair of shots.
Later in the 61
st minute, Breanna Baptist had a pair of shots saved by Garner and then E. McWilliams had a chance in the 79
th but was saved as well.
Garner finished the night with eight saves and now is second in the MSC with 74 on the season. Life University's Desiree Kuhn leads the conference and is third in the country with 149 saves.
Campbellsville returns to the pitch on Friday, Oct. 21 as it travels to University of Pikeville. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET. The Lady Tigers will host Life University on Tuesday, Oct. 25 for Senior Night at Finley Stadium starting at 6 p.m.
