DAYTON, Ohio - The women's bowling team sat in third place after the qualifying round of the Pikeville Orange and Black Classic but lost in the first round of match play this past weekend.

Kylah Martin, a junior from La Vergne, Tenn., led the Lady Tigers over the weekend. She finished with scores of 203, 202, 199, 221, and 167 with an overall pin count of 992, which was good for fourth place overall. Right behind Martin was
Candace Gibson, the hometown freshman, who finished in seventh place with a score of 976.

Other notable finishes in the qualifying round was Chrystal Land finishing in 25
th with a score of 916. Rounding out the Top 40 was
Bailey James and
Katlyn Hoeh with final scores of 905 and 901, respectively, finishing in 35
th and 39
th place.

Going into Bakers on Sunday, the Lady Tigers were sitting in third place after the qualifying round. They would then shoot 670, 704, 742, and 702 for a series total of 2818 pins to stay in third with an overall score of 7508 going into match play. Wright state would hold the number one seed shooting an overall of 7712.

In match play the Campbellsville would go up against Mid-South Conference foe and host Pikeville. Campbellsville shot 153, 140, and 144 going 0-3 in the best out of five match loss against Pikeville, who would end up finishing with the match play title.

The Lady Tigers will look to regain focus as they will have fall break off. CU will be back in action starting on Saturday, Oct. 29
