Men's soccer earns fourth bid to NCCAA Championship

KISSIMMEE, Fla. — Tiger Soccer earned its fourth bid to the National Christian College Athletic Association Championship as play begins Monday, Nov. 28 at the Austin-Tindall Soccer Complex.
 
Campbellsville is the overall No. 1 seed in the nine-team, three pool tournament. Heading up Pool A, CU will face Emmanuel College at 1:00 p.m. ET on Monday. The Tigers don't play again until Wednesday, Nov. 30 when they face Grace College at 1:00 p.m..
 
In its last appearance in 2013, Campbellsville lost to Southern Wesleyan 2-1 in the first game of pool play. The Tigers redeemed themselves and beat Houghton 4-1, but did not advance to the semifinals.
 
The top team in the three pools will advance to the semifinals,scheduled for Friday, Dec. 2 at 4:30 ET. The fourth team will receive an at-large bid and will be determined by a point system administered by the NCCAA.
 
The Tigers will leave by charter bus at 8 a.m. Friday, Nov. 25 and will practice at the soccer facility between 11-4:30 on Sunday, Nov. 27. A Christian Service Project is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 1.
