Lady Tigers to host Mobile in MSC/SSAC Challenge Opener at 7:00

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — After a 13-day break, Lady Tiger basketball hits the hardwood tonight in the Mid-South Conference/Southern States Athletic Conference Challenge.

Campbellsville plays hosts to University of Mobile in the night cap on Day 1 of the Challenge. Fans can tune in starting at 6:45 p.m. ET as Jay Turner will have the radio call on 88.7 The Tiger and CampbellsvilleTigers.com/watch. 

Series Facts vs. Mobile:
• Campbellsville and Mobile are meeting for the sixth time in program history with the Lady Tigers leading the series, 4-1.
• The last meeting came in the 2004 season opener, as Mobile earned its only win in the series, 75-70, over Campbellsville in Mobile, Ala.
• Former Lady Tiger Tiffany Roaden scored 34 points for the Lady Tigers by hitting 11-of-25 from the floor and a perfect 10-of-10 from the free throw line.
• The 34 points by Roaden is tied for the sixth-highest scoring mark in a single-game. Former two-time NAIA Player of the Year Whitney Ballinger holds the other five highest scoring games in program history.
 
Tiger Clawz:
• Campbellsville has won two of its last four games. The two loses came to No. 2 Westmont, 59-50, and Lindsey Wilson College, 88-65.
• CU ranks No. 8 in the NAIA with an assist/turnover ratio of 1.2 per game, No. 6 with 18.5 assists per game and No. 10 by scoring 79 points per game.
• After coming back from an ACL injury last season, LeeAnn Grider ranks No. 4 with 6.4 assists per game and No. 6 with an assist/turnover ratio of 3.2.
Madison Clements has scored in double-figures every game this year and leads CU by averaging 16.4 points per game. She scored a season-high 23 points vs. Talladega on Monday, Nov. 21 and vs. Cumberland on Dec. 1.
Emily Fox currently ranks No. 7 on the all-time list for most 3s in a career (180). And she is the only player in the Top 10 to not be a four-year player at CU.
• Five of the Lady Tigers' seven wins have come on neutral courts. CU defeated Harris-Stowe and Hiwassee in the Bethel University Chamber Classic to open the season, beat Bluefield State College on Nov. 12 at University of Pikeville, John Brown at the Jackson Rotary Classic and earned a forfeit victory over Carver College.
 
Lady Tigers to host inaugural MSC/SSAC Challenge:
• The inaugural Mid-South Conference / Southern States Athletic Conference Challenge is being hosted at Powell Athletic Center Dec. 17-19.
• All games throughout the Challenge will be streamed on the CU Sports Network – www.CampbellsvilleTigers.com/watch.
• Campbellsville is one of three teams from the MSC - Shawnee State University and University of Pikeville. All three MSC teams are ranked in the Top 25 - No. 6 Campbellsville, No. 10 Shawnee State and No. 24 Pikeville.
• The SSAC has three teams in the challenge - Martin Methodist College, University of Mobile and Bethel University.
• Bethel is the lone team ranked at No. 18, while Martin Methodist is receiving votes.
• Next year the MSC/SSAC Challenge will be played in McKenzie, Tenn. at Bethel.
