MARIAN, Ind. – Campbellsville got the job done during Day One of the NCCAA Indoor Track and Field National Championships.

The men's 4x200 meter relay (
Brandon Battle, Johannesburg Boulware, Garland Webb, Paxton Wiley) set a new school record in the event with a time of 1:32.74 and got Campbellsville on the board with a seventh place finish, good enough for two points. The previous record back in 2013 was 1:33.45.
Wiley kept it going on the day by qualifying for the men's 60-meter hurdle finals with a time of 8.52 seconds. He had the third fastest time in the prelims. The men's 60-meter finals will be held today on day two of the championships.
Webb was able to help add one more point on the board with an eighth place finish in the long jump with a jump of 6.68 meters. Wiley finished his events in the men's long jump with a mark 5.99 meters.
Kelsey Feltner finished her indoor season in the women's 60-meter dash prelims by finishing 17
th with a time of 8.52 seconds.
On the throws side, the Tigers and Lady Tigers completed their seasons on a positive note.
Aaron Johnson threw 13.61 meters (13
th place),
Stuart Nichols 12.73 meters (16
th place),
Connor Stockton 12.23 meters ( 17
th place), and
Michael Hunt 12.13 meters (18
th place). On the women's side in the weight throw,
Halima Williams threw her way to a 14
th place 11.83 meters finish on the day, and
Deja Thompson threw 11.23 meters, good enough for 16
th place.
Wiley will look to win a national title today in the men's 60-meter hurdle finals, as well as compete in the men's high jump later on in the day.
