ST. CATHARINE, Ky. — Victoria Decker threw her second no-hitter in the past seven days and her team shut down St. Catharine today 5-0 and 8-0 to run CU's record to 20-7, 5-1 MSC.
It was a day of honors for the Lady Tigers, who found out after the sweep that they are now ranked No. 5 in the NAIA, up three spots from their preseason position and the highest ranking in program history.
In addition, it was announced that Decker was named NAIA Pitcher of the Week. In four appearances last week, Decker picked up three wins and a save as she helped No. 5 Campbellsville to a 5-1 record.
Against Brescia College, she threw a complete-game no-hitter and she struck out six batters in a 10-0 victory. The NAIA honor is the first-ever for any Lady Tiger in history.
In the conference opening series against No. 11 Lindsey Wilson, she pitched two complete games, allowing three runs and striking out nine batters. Decker also earned a save against the Blue Raiders as she picked up the final two outs of the final game of the series via strikeout to preserve a 4-3 victory.
On the season, Decker is 10-4 in the circle and she has an ERA of 1.28.

Decker (10-4) was near perfect in the circle. She walked a batter and hit another to give the Patriots their only two base runners.
Brianna Scott untied a 0-0 deadlock in the fourth with her sixth home run of the season. It turned out that that was only run CU would need, but the Lady Tigers added three in the sixth and a fifth run in the seventh.
In the sixth, Jacqueline Roof led off with a double and Shelby Ray was safe on a bunt single. After a SCC error and a fielder's choice, Adrean Jordan drove in a run with a double and Smith's fielder's choice scored another.
Brittany Rippy was hit by a pitch to lead off the seventh inning. Roof singled and an error on a ball hit by Shelby Ray scored the run.
Destiney Taul also had a hit.
Tiffany Wickline pitched seven innings of seven-hit ball and striking out four for SCC (16-13, 2-4 MSC). She did not walk a batter.
