The Tigers gave Pannunzio a little more breathing room – which was needed - with a four-spot in the top half of the ninth inning. Joyce delivered an RBI single to score Scott but with the bases load Carbuccia cleared the bases with a three run double pushing CU ahead, 9-4.
The insurance runs came in handy in the bottom half, as UPIKE scored a run on two hits.
