BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — Campbellsville broke open a scoreless game with a seven-run second inning and went on to defeat St. Catharine this evening, 8-0. With the win the Lady Tigers move on to Saturday's semifinals at Michael O. Buchanon Park.

Victoria Decker (25-4) had a no-hitter going until a fifth-inning single by Brittany McKee broke up the no-no. Decker would go on to allow two more hits and struck out two in the shutout. Lynsie Clark and Caitlyn Blair had the other two hits for St. Catharine (25-28).

In the decisive second frame, CU (46-8) pushed across seven runs on just three hits. St. Catharine, which defeated Pikeville to earn the spot opposite the Lady Tigers, committed three errors, two in the seventh and one in the sixth that allowed the eighth score in the six-inning victory.

With one out, Markie Smith was hit by a pitch followed by Adrean Jordan's triple. Shelby Ray reached on a fielder's choice and Brianna Scott's walk scored another run. Rebecca Miller then delivered a two-run single. Hailey Szpila's ground out scored the final run of the inning.

In the sixth, Madison Mudd singled and Roof reached on an error at second. Roof would eventually score when Miller picked up her second hit of the game.

Miller was 2-for-4 and three RBIs to lead CU's seven-hit attack. Mudd was 2-for-3 and a RBI. Roof, Jordan and Smith all had one hit apiece.

Campbellsville will play Saturday, April 30 against the winner of a game between Lindsey Wilson and Cumberland University.
