SAVANNAH, Ga. — Needing two wins to reach their second NAIA World Series, Tiger baseball put a check mark on game one with a 10-0 victory over Point University.
The Tigers and Skyhawks will now play again in 40 minutes with a winner takes all for the Savannah Opening Round Bracket.

Jake Pannunzio showed signs of 2009 alum Bryan Fuller and pitched 11-straight innings going back to last night to move Campbellsville into the championship game. Fuller tossed 21-straight innings in 2009 to lead CU to its first NAIA Opening Round championship.
Today, Pannunzio tossed 8 1/3 innings and allowed only six hits while striking out a career-high 11 batters. He finished with 102 pitches before Justin Phillips came in to retire the final two batters. Â
Miguel Solano continued his tear, picking up another three hits and is now 14-for-19 in his last five games. Nestor Linares also had two hits along with Richard Ramirez and Jacob Carrera, while Ramirez and Linares drove in two runs.
Campbellsville scored a pair of runs in the third, seventh and eighth innings but put the game out of reach with a four-spot in the sixth.
Casey Scott started the rally with a single and was moved to second base on a sac bunt by Carrera. Then Riley Joyce and Solano drove in the Tigers first two runs with a RBI singles.
In the sixth, CU brought 10 batters to plate picking up four runs on three hits. Solano reached on a walk and was followed with a single by Ramirez. Romello Carbuccia was hit by a pitch to load the bases and Diego Reynoso was also plunked to score a run. Linares then brought in two runs with a high-chopping single over the first baseman's head to put CU ahead 5-0. Scott capped off the rally with an RBI ground out to add-on to the Tigers lead, 6-0.
In the seventh, Solano put the Tigers on the bases with a double and scored on a Ramirez two-bagger. Carbuccia singled to put runners on the corners and Ramirez scored on a 6-4-3 double play by Reynoso.
CU brought six batters and plated two more runs in the eighth to go ahead 10-0. Solano delivered an RBI single and Ramirez score a run on a sac fly.
